At RisherMartin, we strongly believe that investing time and money to stay current on home building products, trends, building codes and techniques makes us a more valuable resource to our clients. As such, our firm is one of the very few in Austin that concurrently holds three of the highest professional designations our industry offers – Certified Graduate Builder, Certified Green Professional and Graduate Master Builder. We’ve undergone rigorous training and testing from the National Association of Home Builders, we’ve pledged to operate our business according to a recognized Code of Ethics, and we continue to engage in ongoing education to maintain these designations.
We are also members of the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Austin and the Texas Association of Builders. RisherMartin is an active member of the Austin Energy Green Building Program, where we’ve successfully rated our customer’s homes, and we maintain an active membership in the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
We believe in teamwork and some of the most successful projects we’ve been involved in are the result of close collaboration with talented local architects. To better serve our clients and the architect community we’ve become Allied members of the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
In our continued effort to better serve our clients, we’ve taken the additional step of attaining and maintaining an active Realtor license in the State of Texas. Our clients often ask us to help them locate a lot or identify a great infill property to tear down or remodel. We feel that given our deep involvement in the Austin real estate market – as builders, investors, and developers – that we could best serve our clients by combining our construction expertise with an active Realtor license to assist clients in locating and purchasing homes and land. In addition to being members of the Austin Board of Realtors, we are also members of the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Working on older homes requires an extra level of caution for your family. Lead paint poisoning is a serious hazard to not only the job site workers, but also the families who live in these homes. RisherMartin is one of the very first renovators in Austin to be certified as an EPA approved Lead-Safe Certified Firm; we also have a Lead-Safe Renovator on staff as well. Knowing how to properly and legally work on a home with lead paint is a top priority for us.
